A Thank You

         from Ms Jill

Dear Floyd Ward family:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you for all of the prayers, concerns, visits, flowers, food, and gifts you bestowed on me and my family after my car accident and during my recovery period.  I cannot explain how much it meant to me to hear from so many of you and to have you visit on many occasions during my stay in the hospital and at Springtree Health and Rehabilitation Center.

I am so sorry I missed being with my students at the 2011 recital, but I did get to witness it via U-Stream on my daughterÕs computer.   It was quite therapeutic for me to see everyone in costume performing their best!  The shows were truly amazing.  I would like to thank my student teachers, fellow staff members, and parents for helping with so many of the props and for getting my little ones on and off stage.  The show ran so smoothly!

I noticed my dads in the ÒDads DanceÓ did an exceptional job as well!  And those final leapsÉwhat can I say??!!  You did a superb job, and I am very proud of you.

I missed being in the wings to watch the graduating seniors have their final walk, but I want each of them to know my heart was there. I watched the computer screen intently as each took their graceful promenades across the stage.  I will miss each of you immensely.  I congratulate you and wish you great success and happiness in your future endeavors.

I have come a long way on the route to recovery.  I was diagnosed with six fractures on the day of my accident, two in my pelvis, two ribs, and both collar bones.  To date,

the doctors say the bones are growing back and healing is in sight.  I have been walking since July 1st and have become steadier on my feet.  Movement and balance are still a little less easy for me, but I am working on both. I still have some pain in my shoulders and hip, but it certainly is waning with time.  I have not driven since my accident, but am hoping to start taking baby steps toward that direction soon.

I can only say that the Lord was watching over me on Memorial Day, and that He must have delivered me from my accident for a greater purpose.  I can only hope and pray that I can fulfill the mission He has intended for me.  I know in my heart that He has surrounded me with some beautiful friends, and I will never forget your heartfelt love and kindness.

God bless each of you,

Ms Jill
